Rogers Corporation has discontinued production of the Rogers Dampening Sleeves (formerly known as 3M Sleeves).
What Now?
Do not worry. Alternate products exist and have for many years. Fiberweb makes the Red Runner and Jomac makes Watersleeves. Both of these products are designed to fit on the oversized rollers that were intended for the Rogers (3M) Sleeves.
Here Is What You Need to Know for the Transition
Both Red Runner and Watersleeves are a shrink-to-fit, seamless, lint-free, non-patterning synthetic fabric used on the water form rollers. These fabric covers offer several advantages over the traditional paper sleeves, such as:
- Improved water control
- Pattern-free
- Won’t break, crack, split or shred
- No low spots
- No mourning bands
- Easier to handle and store
